Shopping Spree

:: It's a quiet Friday here.
No school. Homework is patiently waiting until tomorrow. Jack Johnson is singing to me.
And I'm going shopping!

:: Remember that post about Anthropologie overload on the blog? Well here's some more anthro goodness for you to feast your eyes on.

:: And some lovely UO accessories. Their bags are amazing..I can't pick just one favorite!

:: Sorry for the huge post, but there's just too many good fall items out there. (And this is just from two stores!!)
I read somewhere that if you can't buy it, blog it.

Amen, sister.

Tintypes

:: Did you know that there are people who still make tintypes today? How awesome is that?! For those of you who don't know, a tintype or (ferrotype), is a positive image created using the wet-plate collodion process but instead of glass a piece of tin or iron with a black surface is used.

Contemporary Daguerreotypest Eric Mertens took these. I would love to have one done, though they are very expensive!

Pretty Places

:: Floddertje has such beautiful pictures, but since I can't read French (I think it's French) I really don't know the story behind them. This apartment is decorated beautifully though! I love hardwood floors, step ladder in the window, blue chair, peacock feathers, photobooth pictures, cute puppy dog, globes...ok, I love just about everything.
If you're good at reading French check it out. If not, just enjoy the pretty pictures like me! :)

A Thing For Words

:: I have a thing for words.
So finding this on [THE DRIFTER and the GYPSY] really made my day.
I also thought it was neat because just before reading this I had left a conversation and then thought of all the things I should've said...l'esprit de escalier.
Languages are awesome. Words are even better.

The clothes designer Lesley Evers creates are fashionable, simple, and a little vintage-y. I love the simple black dress and Joanna is giving it away on her site!!

Bicycle Chic

:: The New York Times did a recent article on the booming trend of chic cyclists in New York. No longer are bicycles considered a means of conveyance. They are now a fabulous (sometimes vintage) accessory, that also allows you to travel! The New York Times reports that bicyclists are no longer clad in ugly spandex, but rather fluttery skirts, capes, and kitten heels. In fact, a study showed that the number of adult female cyclists in the city was growing much more rapid than that of men.

Happy Monday!

The weekend was chocked full and flew past! It involved a 9-hr drive to Atlanta, spending time being lazy with my boyfriend, episodes of Chuck, another 4-hour drive to Alabama, two quiet, amazing days with friends and family, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, frigid mornings, homemade biscuits, lots of laughs, and finally a 14-hr drive home. Today was a bit of a whirlwind with laundry, sleep-deprivation, and the such. All combined, it's making this Happy Monday post into more of a Happy Monday Night post.

Here are a few things that have caught my eye tonight:

1. I love the outfit posts on Hello Mr. Fox. Perfect fall get-up.

2. The beautiful pictures on Here Comes the Sun just keep on coming.

3. I would l.o.v.e. to work in an industrial space like this.

4. In love with this closet.

5. The pictures on Porter Hovey's kissing blog make me smile.

Here's hoping this week goes a tad slower. Happy Monday, lovelies!
