Hello Again

:: Hello again.

I've been out of the blogging mood lately.

Holidays and such are keeping me busy as well.

Oh yeah, and those fabulously fun things called finals.

But a few days ago I started peeking on a few blogs again.

Guess what?

They're still filled with pretty things and things that inspire me

and make me feel creative. I think I'll be coming around more often.

Daddy Takes Pictures

:: Jason Lee has a pretty creative, imaginative, humorous, and entertaining way of photographing his daughters. I love how happy the little girls look in every picture....like they're having the time of their lives! :)

:: You have no idea how much I've been waiting for this weekend! I'm driving to Atlanta tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend and I'm so excited! Also when I get back, there will be only one week left of classes (finals week, but a week nonetheless) and then the semester is over! Hallelujah!

So here's wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Across the Universe

:: So the other day I watched Across the Universe again. I had forgotten how great a movie it is! The songs have been stuck in my head ever since and, if that wasn't enough, I happened upon Shannon's Across the Universe lyrimage. She does such a great job with these and there's a ton more on her blog, so go look at them!

Also, it's not possible for me to read the lyrics to this song without singing it in my head. It's kind of funny actually. I can't even say the words out loud without my voice trying to sing them.

I guess that's just more proof that it's a really good song! :)



Once Upon

:: Heidi Lender, a former fashion editor and reporter, left her job behind and moved to India. Pretty brave, yeh? This is her self-assigned weekly photo assignment that she has title Once Upon. The requirements are this: "Stand on a bench. Make sure it's Monday. Wear something pretty."

I think it's an awesome idea. Maybe some day when I'm feeling very creative I'll start my own photo assignment. Until then, I'll remain utterly impressed with people like Heidi Lender.

A Cup of Joe

:: These pretty pictures made my night better.

I love pictures that make you feel like you're actually in that place. Can't you just picture yourself in a cozy New York coffee shop while it's drizzling rain outside on the leaf-strewn sidewalks? I can, and it sounds pretty good to me!

These pictures came from the monthly feature on I Just Might Explode called The City and a Cup of Joe. Kara describes it as a time when she ventures into the various coffee shops of New York, armed with her camera and a fine-tipped Sharpie.

I'm a fan!



Polaroids

:: Polaroids are absolutely amazing and probably my favorite thing right after apple pie.

It also happened to be the word to shoot by this week.

Oh, and the camera on the far left in the middle image....yeah, I picked that pretty little thing up for $1 at a flea market. It makes my days happier from it's spot on my shelf. :)
