Happy Monday

:: Boy, did today ever fit the Monday stereotype! It was such a Monday, in fact, that I didn't realize what the actual day was until this evening. Before that it just felt like a blaahh day with no name. Not realizing what day it was, I obviously did not have a Happy Monday post that was bursting with creativity and new things planned.

Instead, I simply took a break from the massive overload of homework and just looked. I went to all my favorite blogs and websites and simply looked at pretty things. I was searching for nothing specific, just something that would catch my eye, something pretty.

Here are the few that I found:

And many thanks to the awesome Happiness Is... blog for the never-ending pretty pictures, creative posts, and happiness all around. I think you should go check it out.
Just a thought.

Hrumph

:: Some things I wish for:

- this semester to be over
- to pass my bio class
- to not worry
- the internet to work
- a job/money
- a plan
- a better mood

Some days you just have your frowny face on.
Today is one of them.

All the pictures above are from the lovely habit blog.
Photos of simple, beautiful things with simple one-liners under them make grumpy days a tad bit better.

Words to Shoot By

:: I love the Words to Shoot By blog! It's right up my alley.

"We began as four girls with cameras who thought a collaboration based upon single words sounded like fun, now we're 23 photographers strong!"

There's always new and inspiring photographs on the blog, each one showing a different photographer's interpertation of a single word.
The above photos are for the word "yellow".

Into the Woods

:: Ditte Isager's photography is beautiful.
And these pictures really put me in a mood for fall camping trips.

Wall Chalkboard

1. Find a frame.
2. Make a nice person hold the frame straight while you trace the inside edge.

3. Three or four coats of chalkboard paint should do it.

4. Screw the frame into the wall. Paint the frame with leftover chalkboard paint.

:: Chalkboards are awesome and make such neat decoration.
I found this quick & easy DIY via verhext. This chalkboard looks beautiful beside that huge bookshelf!

Pretty Places

:: I've been running across so many pretty homes and spaces that "Pretty Places" might just become a weekly post. This home is right out of Covet Garden magazine.
Covet Garden was started because "we wanted to see a magazine that made us feel as though we were invited into someone’s home. And then, once they let us in, we started snooping around and got to know them a bit better."
I've already sent in my subscription.

Weekend Already?
